Big changes are on the horizon for Johns Creek! A brand-new park—The Boardwalk at Town Center—is in the works, bringing exciting new amenities and a stronger connection between nature and the heart of the city.

Located at 11360 Lakefield Drive, right next to City Hall, this 21-acre park is being built between Johns Creek Parkway and East Johns Crossing. Since breaking ground in August 2024, the area has been undergoing a major transformation aimed at blending natural beauty with urban convenience.

The park will feature a scenic trail, seating areas, overlooks near a tranquil pond, a pedestrian tunnel, and even an amphitheater. The wetlands will also be carefully designed to enhance water quality and manage stormwater runoff.

Phase 1 is already complete, including a trail connecting Medlock Bridge to the rest of the park. Visitors can now enjoy a peaceful stroll through public art sculptures, greenery, and pond views.

The next phases are underway:

  • The pedestrian tunnel is expected to be completed by fall 2025.

  • The amphitheater and pier seating are scheduled for completion in summer 2026.

This ambitious project represents the largest single construction investment in Johns Creek’s history, part of a long-term vision to create a vibrant town center from the ground up.

Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, "The Boardwalk at Town Center" is shaping up to be a landmark destination—where community, art, and nature come together.
